Meet Asha Christina Foster of Longisland NY

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asha Christina Foster

Hi Asha Christina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, I’ve always known that I was different, and I’ve always had the gift of gab that was definitely something that was in my report card! However, I have always been a people person, and I always knew that I was called to big stages and to have some sort of platform. When I was A little girl, my mom used to follow me around the house with a camera and always ask me what I was thinking and she would call me a “superstar“ and that has been something that has always stuck with me because there have been people that I’ve met in my life that have the same thing. I realize that as I grew older that this superstar like quality would be a blessing and also some thing that felt like it was difficult to navigate through because of how Comfortable I was showing up just as myself and how that wouldn’t be well received by everyone. I knew by time I was in high school that was something that I wanted to get started in because people would always ask me to create a channel because I have always been into fashion and beauty, and I’m just an all-around girly girl. So my first year of college, I decided to start my YouTube channel and it was very difficult because I didn’t know how to edit and by the way I still am not the best at editing thank goodness I have an editor now. Haha. But I realize very quickly that I felt very comfortable in front of the camera and throughout my life there have been multiple opportunities to do reality shows, and things of that nature and I just knew that I’ve always wanted to show up as myself and not turn my personality into some sort of character for the sake of TV. I started my YouTube channel in 2018, which is when I graduated college I knew that I found my niche and it was dating and relationships based off of my experiences and not wanting women to go through the things that I went through. I was able to connect with so many women around the world and it has been such a beautiful experience to see how social media can really be life-changing. I also began doing consult, speaking with women all around the world and helping them get out of toxic dynamics, and also helping them to recognize their value and their worth.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not and is not a smooth road. There have definitely been a lot of struggles along the way I know that everyone’s journey is unique to them, and mine really brought me into getting back in relationship with God and really prioritizing him first as the foundation of all the things that I do. There was a lot of trial and tribulation that I endured being in social media and going through Negativity and filtering through that very early on in my career and dealing with that definitely does teach you a lot about yourself. Whether that’s finding the restraint to not respond to someone or feeling like certain narratives or put out about you and it’s completely out of your control to change the opinion of others on a public platform. I would definitely say a huge struggle was definitely filtering through a lot of negativity and being misunderstood at certain points.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the host of Quality Queen Control Podcast, I talk about dating relationships, biblical topics, personal development and wellness. I am most known for my dating and relationship advice. I am a YouTuber, speaker, and coach. I specialize in talking about dating in the current social climate, I talk about why its important to value ourselves as women and how important having a relationship with God as the foundation of everything is fundamental to learning who you are and discovering your purpose. I am most proud of all my accomplishments because the internet can be a wonderful tool to connect you with people all around the world. Just when you feel lonely, there are people out there going through similar things and I care about impact. This is why I offer my coaching services which allow me to speak 1:1 with clients and create a tailored approach for their specific needs. I think about what I want my legacy to be and sharing transformative content on my platforms. I think what sets me apart is simply my personality. I am so Muti faceted it’ can be hard for some people to understand, but at the end of the day it’s me and that’s all I can be is me!

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
To be transparent the biggest risk I have taken was pivoting my content to be more vocal about my faith. I am still finding my footing on how I want to present the content as it is not popular and can feel quite controversial. I think I am a risk taker in a sense, but I would say more well thought out risks. I wouldn’t say I’m impulsive, but you have to be a risk taker to be on the internet in my opinion. Life will present challenges that at some point will compel you to take a stand for something. And showing up on the internet is a risk, being your honest and vulnerable self is a risk because it gives people the ability to attack you for simply being yourself. I think calculated risk is important…after all entrepreneur means risk taker! When you are ambitious and you know you’re called for more you can skip the risks involved with it!
