Meet Ashley Albertson of Ashley Albertson Homes and Rock River Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Albertson.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was fresh out of college and believed that I would go straight into the non-profit world. My degrees were in Psychology and Religious Studies, and I have always had a heart for counseling, so before getting my masters, non-profits were the plan. When my husband and I experienced a shift in his career, I knew I needed to get to work applying. As I began the journey of the real world, I began seeing Real Estate everywhere; so much so that I felt like it was pursuing me.

And actually, I believe that it was. I began noticing and asking questions to as many people as I could about the job and what kind of person would make it in the real estate world and was not getting much feedback. Finally, I met with a woman for coffee who spoke about the job and her heart behind it in such a way that I knew it was for me. So I jumped in fully. I have been working hard ever since and am beginning to see why she loves it. It is so much work, especially for someone who initially had no training in the area of real estate.

I wanted to create a page on Facebook and Instagram where I could highlight my business, local businesses, local events, and all my listings and accomplishments, and so Ashley Albertson Homes was born. I am a Realtor under Rock River Realty, but Ashley Albertson Homes serves as a space to get to know me and follow what I am up to and appeal to potential clients. I want to be trusted, and I want them to know that I know and love the area that I am involved in!

Has it been a smooth road?
It started out incredibly exhausting and hard, but the doors continued to open before me and I just had to take the next right step. There is a saying in this business, “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” And that is how I have tried to approach starting in this business. I know that I have to work my butt off, especially as a young professional, new to the area, new to the business.

Now I wake up, have my coffee and time with Jesus in the morning, workout, and then sit down with my computer and planner and tackle the day. I meet as many people as I can and attend as many workshops, seminars, and classes as possible. So it has been a balance of a day at a time, hard work, opportunities opening up, and choosing self-care along the way.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ashley Albertson Homes and Rock River Realty story. Tell us more about the business.
Rock River is a small boutique Real Estate firm. We are a team of five Realtors. If I were looking to buy or sell my house, no other company would be more attractive than Rock River because we care about quality over quantity. You will never see us juggling too many clients because we want to ensure that the clients that hire and trust us to get the absolute best care possible. It is never about the numbers, we are interpersonal, we want to get to know our clients and their needs and build relationships so that there is mutual trust. Quality is cared about.

Our clients’ well-being is our priority, they are never seen as just another transaction. So that is what I believe and have experienced through being on the team at Rock River. But Ashley Albertson personally, I am wild about beauty. My life is about creating spaces where people can breathe, thrive, and fully enjoy their life. I am organized, but I love to minimize and simplify, make beautiful, encourage, and make the real estate experience enjoyable. I can counsel, talk through, discern and see interrelation conflict and bring life and light and truth.

Furthermore, I love fast-paced high-stress situations where I can go go go and shine. I am fresh and hardworking and ready to learn. I am the most fun real estate professional and will make the experience incredibly enjoyable and easy for my client. I am a problem solver and want to get a job done, fully and well. I am incredibly analytical and will constantly be thinking about how to get the very most and best for my clients.
