Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started throwing birthday parties for my own kids when they were very young. Everyone that would attend would say how much they loved the décor and how I should do this for a living. I was an assistant teacher and not sure of what I really wanted to do with my life. Shortly after starting my, it took off past what I could have ever expected and is still growing today,
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve faced many adversities along my journey. I have slow months where I only book 2 jobs. I have months where I feel overwhelmed and want to stop. It doesn’t take long for me to remember why I started my business in the 1st place. I have a passion for creating things and I am always grateful that people allow me to use that gift. This thought is something I hold in my head when times are hard.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an event coordinator that specializes in balloons. I’m most known for my creative garlands. I can take any theme or color scheme and bring it to life.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Interestingly enough, I started my business during the pandemic. I’ve learned to operate in the highest level of professionalism at all times. Keeping the guests who I service and myself safe has been my top priority.
