Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley LeBoeuf.
Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always been a lover of design. I love the freedom to create in any aspect and never limited myself to one area. I grew up rearranging my bedroom every few months and drawing my own fashion magazines. Fashion and Interior Design were two of my first loves. Eventually, I attended SCAD as a fashion merchandise and management major but dropped out after just a year. I learned I loved fashion, but on my own terms. The schedule, the demand of art school and the ridiculous tuition weren’t “it” for me, and I knew I needed more. Fast forward through years of working in child care, discovering my passions and figuring out where I was headed, I entered into the unpredictable world of real estate investing. I was initially attracted to the freedom of building a legacy through real estate and the endless opportunities that come with that. I quickly fell more in love with it as I found it perfectly combined my love for design, creative control, and a hell of a challenge. Every day is a journey and I am loving every bit of creating my dream career with limitless possibilities.
Has it been a smooth road?
Absolutely not! It took a while to decide what I really wanted to do and exactly how I wanted it done. I didn’t want to be just another real estate investor. I was looking for the best way to incorporate all the things I love about the industry, in my own way.
Not to mention, I entered a male-dominated industry, where many of my colleagues were twice my age and had been practicing real estate for as long as I’ve been alive. I was totally new, inexperienced and had no idea what I was getting myself into. Not many people are willing to fully support your effort to learn and grow in such a cut-throat industry, but I found support in the right people and that has propelled me further than I could have imagined in such a short time period.
We’d love to hear more about your firm.
I started the Fancy Firm about three and a half years ago. I wanted to create a business that allowed me to do what I love every day, highlight my skillsets, help others and have the freedom to explore the endless opportunities that real estate can provide. I was intentional in making sure my business served as a one-stop shop for my clientele.
Outside of being a real estate investor, I am a licensed REALTOR®, Interior Designer, Project Manager and just started a new YouTube channel where I share the behind the scenes of “Flipping Fancy” – basically everything HGTV doesn’t show you. I spend each day designing, selling and flipping houses and I love every bit of it!
I work with all type of clients but I specialize in first-time homebuyers and investment properties. Two of the greatest joys are helping people achieve the dream of homeownership and experience the value in investing in real estate to establish generational wealth.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is absolutely a great place to be investing in, and buying, real estate. The market is thriving in every aspect and has so many lucrative opportunities here, with no signs of slowing down. In fact, many out-of-state and foreign investors and starting to make their way into the market as we speak.
