Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Robinson.
Ashley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Holding a degree in Business Administration and working as a Senior Property Manager in the corporate field for years was OK but I wanted to explore my creativity side more. Blush Event Company was born from years of being the “go-to” force for organizing special events, including weddings and surprise proposals, for my friends and family. After becoming a Certified Event Planner, I knew I had found my calling! I consider myself blessed to have found my passion and my purpose. Playing a special part in the happiest moments in our client’s lives isn’t taken lightly. Yes, I still cry at EVERY wedding and marriage proposal! I’m honored to have my clients entrust in BEC and we strive to create an unforgettable client experience.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I fully embrace MY journey. I know that the Lord designed my path and it has been highs and lows but I definitely have found my footing. One of my biggest struggles was trying to balance a full-time corporate job, run/grow my event planning company, and personal life. Talk about insanity!! Now that the Lord has blessed me to work in my business full-time, I see the light.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Blush Event Company – what should we know?
Blush Event Company is an event planning company focused on Wedding Day Management (what some call month-of wedding coordination) and marriage proposals. Our wedding couples enjoy planning their big day but hire BEC to guide them through the wedding planning journey & take over the details weeks before their big day to execute their vision flawlessly. Our PTQ (pop the question) clients come to us with the ring in hand looking for the memorable plan to propose to their significant other. Blush Event Company has been there for couples with a 300 guest count to the faux Mother’s Day brunch turned proposal. Our work has been featured in The Celebration Society magazine, How He Asked blog, BlackBride.com, and Oh Brides magazine to name a few. We were so honored to be recognized as one of the Top Event Planners of 2017 for Atlanta Tribute Magazine.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Living my life’s purpose has been a true blessing. I believe I was placed here to help others through the unknown. Whether it’s planning a fabulous wedding, helping the fellas pop the BIG question, or sharing my wedding professional journey with novice business owner; I’m in my element.
