Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Ware.
Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started doing makeup on myself in my 20s. I would watch a lot of makeup tutorials on YouTube at night before bed. I always tried different looks on me until I found what I worked best with. I got to where I am today by staying consistent, humble and most importantly family and close friends.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road but it definitely was worthy the bumps in the road. Some of my struggles were dealing with my endometriosis and fearing that it would completely take over my life and I wouldn’t be able to do what I love doing the most (makeup)
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a self-taught Makeup Artist. I Specialize in natural/neutral Glams, as well as bridal makeup. I’m known for my natural looks, I love for my clients to leave my chair and feel beautiful. I love to enhance the beauty that they already have. I am most proud of my art and how far I have come in the beauty industry. I think what sets me apart of others is my way of doing makeup, every MUA has a specific technique of doing makeup and mine is just the natural/neutral way.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My parents, sisters, cousins, Bestfriend and significant other has played a big part in what I do and how far I have come with my artistry. There were times I wanted to give and they all kept me encouraged. They are a huge blessing to me!
