Meet Asutosh Pattanayak of United Youth Circuit and Zueth Petroleum

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asutosh Pattanayak.

Asutosh, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It feels very crazy when I think about this now. Talking about when I was a kid and going to school I always felt very negative and not very confident which led me to be bad at studies and always getting bullied which made me really depressed, I was the person who will shiver to speak to anyone. When I was 12, I got a chance to attend a Model United Nations at my school. I didn’t knew what it was but due to my parents I just went for it not knowing that this three days conference will change my life forever. Now fast forward ever since I attended that first MUN, I always got fascinated of attending as many conferences as possible but deep inside me I wanted to do something which will make me shine like a star and almost three years back I got the exact opportunity to do that.

I founded United Youth Circuit with a friend of mine from Nigeria literally on whatsapp but I never knew that UYC will reach that high as of now UYC has touched hearts of over 10 thousand youths from over 60 different countries worldwide now coming to my personal development when UYC started growing people started recognising this very young guy getting invited to conferences all around the globe as well as UN to speak and represent the youths and this was my winning coin, so far I have attended over 50 conferences worldwide but it’s not where it stops because of these achievements I remember it was early morning of June 2019 it was very normal day and I check my email and I find this very unusual email, it was an invitation to join the first Petroleum company in Zimbabwe as the Chief Operating officer. Everything started flashing in front of my eyes the day when my parents and society said that if I don’t study I won’t be able to get success in my life and that’s my story now I am very proud to say that I am one of the youngest COO in the world and in the way to be a change agent.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was anything but not easy at all. I remember it was very easy to say something but when I actually jumped into it, it was very stressful. I use to not able to sleep at night because I always stressed about next day, getting demoralized by my friends and family that what I am doing is of no use and it will ruin my career and I won’t be able to earn a single dollar if I continue doing this. But I just wanted to achieve something which I always dreamed of and it was very difficult to do that but at the end of the it’s all worth it. I never dreamed that big too but now it’s all the stress which I took to reach here as one of the youngest COO I am earning the respect of the people which I never imagined off as well as I earn enough money which I also never imagined of so all came to a happy conclusion but I always think this not the end, I always say that if you don’t dream, you are not a human being. So I never stop dreaming and when you dream you always imagine sometimes better and when I wake up everyday I try to achieve that.

United Youth Circuit and Zueth Petroleum – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
United Youth Circuit is one of the fastest growing international Youth organization which works closely with many reputed organizations like UN as well as many governments too to empower youths. Now talking about myself I am a Former UN Youth representative, Entrepreneur, international speaker and currently working as the COO of Zueth Petroleum which again makes me one of the youngest COO in the world. Apart for this I also work very closely with many government to empower youths. I have also founded some of the biggest international conferences in the world like world youth summit and United Youth Assembly.

I believe what sets me apart from others is that I never give up, I have seen both ups and downs in my life and I always try to see downs as a learning experience and never mourn about that but one of the things which contributed to my success is my open-minded thought. I always say first I am a human being and I always see a person as a husband being not by his caste or something.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is term which can be defined in many perspectives based on different people. For me, I don’t know right now what’s success because I am nowhere near to the goal which I dream of. But generally speaking success is something which makes you happy either be it selling things at Walmart or serving a youth representative at the United Nations.
