Meet Atlanta Artist: Gabe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabe.

Gabe, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
MTV’s top pop group 2009, the late late show with Craig Ferguson 2009, then tours with Chris brown and Trey Songz while beginning my music career in Minneapolis, MN. Felt like I needed to come to an entertainment capital to further my career so I moved to Atlanta 4 years ago.. Since then have appeared on tv shows like the cabanaro effect, movies like the getaway with Selena Gomez and the internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Have been pursuing a career in music for 10 years now. Pop music and I write all of my own lyrics harmonies, melodies and arrange my own vocals when recording. Any more you would like to know please ask on our phone call.

Has it been a smooth road?
Some of the struggles is financially supporting yourself. You have to invest in yourself and treat it like a business. GABE is my brand. It takes money to make money. Also losing my father was devastating but it also made me want to find success that much more.

What are some of the influences that have played the biggest role in your journey so far?
One person that has played a big role in my music career as a manager, as well as mentor and friend, would be juice. He taught me the importance of having my artist package put together in a way that will be an easy sell to consumers and major labels. I remember him sitting me down one day and explaining the importance of having an album that you. An present as a full body of work. A lot of artists have 1-4 songs and consider themselves ready to present. It’s all about the presentation, the branding/marketing and the fullness of a body of work not just one or two songs and one picture.

Do you have a favorite type of client or project?
Currently in the works of my next album #ARIES which is set for release winter 2016. Aries really is going to tell my story about love and relationships and the ups and downs that a man or woman goes through on a day to day

What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were just starting out?
I would’ve started building my team from day 1 and invested early on. You live and learn though and once you know better you do better.
