Meet Azure

Today we’d like to introduce you to Azure.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Azure. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles with my mom when I was three years old and I’ve been bi coastal every since spending time with my dad in LA every summer and living with my mom in ATL. I started my journey in the arts when a dance instructor from daycare contacted my mom and suggested I take dance classes because I was bouncing off the walls with energy. Lol! I took classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, African dance and acting -Performed in theatre plays, recitals, talent shows, and appeared in a couple of movies/tv shows I always knew I wanted to perform and be on a stage it’s the very words I told my mom when I was two years old.

Performances:
ATL Hawks Jr Dance team – age six
ATL TALENT Show Network – First place winner two years in a row
ATL Womens Expo performance

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I haven’t faced any true obstacles in life just yet but my journey is not over.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a performer – singing acting, and dancing are my passion. Also, I teach group fitness dance classes at the fitness center of Lilburn, Crunch Fitness, and YMCA. Through my love for dancing I have created “Hip Hop Lettos” which is my own brand- its a fun dance class in heels, where I choreograph all routines-private instruction classes are available under this platform and for those who may be a bit shy they love the privates. I’m most proud of being able to share my gifts with the world in a way all people can benefit from it. What sets my classes apart are they’re for everyone -all skill levels men, women, young, and old. It’s a place to come dance, be YOURSELF and have fun! My classes start out with positive affirmations so its more than just dancing my classes are a positive elevating experience.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personally, I believe you are already a success story when you’re working towards your dreams and goals. It doesn’t necessarily mean having a million dollars are being super famous! Doing what I love to do everyday and inspiring others to go after their dreams….that would be success for me!
