Today we’d like to introduce you to B Easy.
Thanks for sharing your story with us B. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My Journey started back in my home team of Indianapolis, Indiana while interning at the radio station WHHH Hot 96-3 on the afternoon show with Jay Rio. I was his STUNT GUY believe it or not! LOL
Whenever there was an event, I would be the guy that would do the silly stuff like eating wasabi or dropping me off downtown in a dress! LOL
I couldn’t really complain about it because it got me hired as the quickest intern to ever get hired on at the station in only a few short months. I continued to be on Jay Rios Afternoon show from 2-6p and acquired my own weekend show. So fresh out of College I was working at the biggest hip hop station in Indianapolis 7-days a week!
From there my appetite for success grew as I moved to Washington D.C. to visit my cousin. While there I applied at the radio station and got hired at WPGC 95.5. So I moved to the DMV and continued my journey in radio.
While at PGC I was working under the Program Director Reggie Rouse who was also the program director of V103 in Atlanta. After my run in the DMV area, I moved to ATL and started working at V103 as Greg Street’s Producer.
Working at V103 is one of the greatest experiences! You meet people from all types of careers while expanding your own career.
Working with a legend like Greg Street you learn things you didn’t know you wanted to know about! Greg Street’s knowledge is never-ending and I’m happy to be his producer and working at V103.
My journey doesn’t end at the station either, I’m also a DJ that has traveled the country DJing for artists, rocking parties and events.
I learned my DJ game and knowledge while being DJ Drama’s road Manager for his DJ shows across the country and picking up all the game I could from a legend like him. He didn’t know it at the time but I was learning sooooo much from him and I will always be grateful for all the tidbits he unknowingly gave me! If your reading this I really appreciate it DJ Drama! LOL
Right Now I’m producing Greg Street’s Radio show on V103 while also maintaining my own personal DJ career! Hit me up if you need a dope DJ for your next event! Lol
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth believe it or not! Of course, life has its struggles but pretty much my career has been a dope transition from one career to the next. God is good!
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Right now I’m radio-wise I’m Greg Street Producer so I put together and maintain a smooth radio show on V103 from 6-10p.
I organize information and news that happened from throughout the day and make sure he has everything he needs to continue to sound FLAWLESS on the radio.
DJ-wise I’m my own business as B-Easy The DJ. I DJ concerts, Festivals, Birthday Parties, Weddings and all other kinds of events. I recently got the gig as the official DJ for Atlanta’s AEBL Summer Basketball League. So im pretty excited about that.
My work ethic sets me apart from a lot of people. I’m willing to do what most would turn down! I’m all about opportunity and networking. I loooove networking because in this industry its allll about relationships. Not so much your talent but WHO you know! I’ve learned that along the way and I’ve adopted that mindset.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up was a loud yet quiet kid… if that makes sense! If I knew you, we were loud and turnt but if I didn’t, I was the chill laid back guy.
Jay Rio actually gave me my stage name B-Easy the first day that I interned on his radio show. My real name is Brian and he was like nawwww we gotta put you on the air and we cant call you just Brian! So we threw a few names out there and he was like your so chill why don’t we go with B-Easy and from there it stuck.
So I’m the loud chill laid back guy! Lol
