Meet B. Faith

Today we’d like to introduce you to B. Faith.

B. Faith, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m originally from Mobile, AL. I grew up surrounded by singers and musicians in my family. I came to Atlanta about five years ago to enroll in school for audio production. I encountered a few setbacks and detours but that’s life! Regardless of the delays, I kept pushing forward. Almost a year and a half ago, I enrolled in SAE Institute and I’m happy to say that I’m now officially a graduate and actively recording and producing music here in Atlanta.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
So, I moved here with no car, no job, and no potential earnings insight. God blessed me with a family that lived here so I was able to stay with them while I figured out my financial obligations.

What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Live Sound and Performance. So, I present uniqueness in that I’m able to entertain, sing, and play the piano. Also, when I’m not performing I’m behind the console monitoring sound, miking drum sets, connecting subs, amps, etc. I’m very proud that I’m a woman of my word. I made a promise to my Grandmother that I wouldn’t give up on my music and that I would get an education so I could improve on my skills, and that’s exactly what I did!

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was immersed in Church and in Music. I was a big movie buff as a child. I Loved musicals but I think I got that from my Grandmother. Her fav was The Sound of Music so we used to watch black and white movies and she was always playing some type of music that I had never heard before. As my personal taste grew, I started exploring music more on my own. I remember transitioning from my Grandmother choosing my music to her asking my opinions on new artists and also allowing me to choose which CDs and records we were going to purchase together.
