Today we’d like to introduce you to B White.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been doing entertainment since the 3rd. I started taking my talents more serious by the end of middle school. Long story short my mom signs me up for this acting school John Robert Powers. Where I did exceedingly well and people told my mom he needs to be in California. She took a chance on me and said, “I’ll give you two months out there let’s see what you got.” Two months turned into two years, where I got to train with the best and sit around some of the best talents in the world from kids to adults. Luckily those skills have always stayed with me. Speed the story up few years go by. I’m a young adult in Georgia still acting, dancing and performing on the side. I really didn’t pick back up on music until I ran across one of the most talented people I know my brother (Kidd Kodak).
Next thing you know an idea came across my mind. Which was build an empire I know so many rappers, actors, models, photographers, graphic designers, bloggers and a lot of them who are my friends. Trying to find there way and come up like we all are trying to get paid off of the things we love to do. But everyone was in there own lane kinda doing it by themselves. It’s a couple of teams and families out there working together but in my eyes if we all worked together, we could build something bigger than what we can imagine, almost like a black Disney. So one day me and Kidd Kodak with another one of our friends who does music, we’re sitting in our office (mom’s garage) talking and I’m running my ideas by them and they love them. So I tell them if you guys are serious come up with a name for our music label.
The next morning I walk into the office and they say “B. White we got it… KNOTGANG!” And to be honest, I didn’t really care for the name that much but just seeing them work together and took what I said and ran with it, I couldn’t do anything else but embrace it. Next thing I know we are all in the studio making music and we all had our own lane our own sound. Then speed that part up our little bros were building up their own name called “10K” years go by we merge the name together and call ourselves “10K KNOTGANG,” dropping albums, mixtapes, singles, T-shirts the whole 9yards not to mention just drop a video on YouTube GoldTeeth and CubanLinks! Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles? I wouldn’t call it that it was more so growing points in our life and some of us grew up and others grew out. It’s pretty much the normal stuff some people don’t like the way things are being ran other may have personal stuff going on and this wasn’t apart of there picture etc.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
10K KNOTGANG! We the label. We build artist up from any and everywhere just because you wasn’t down with us when it started doesn’t mean you can’t be apart of it because at the end of the day this is bigger than all of us and we just want to help the ones that want to be help and of course the ones that want to help us. One thing that sets us apart we aren’t haters we love all artists and teams doing the thing we don’t care who gets to the top first as long as they know we gonna be right up there sooner or later but we will see you then.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I can’t name it everyday it’s something new from a shoutout, people asking my team or me to perform feature making new music all those moments are priceless.
