Meet Bakari Willis of Events of Amuse in Augusta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bakari Willis.

Bakari, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born to do this – “this” – meaning, making things beautiful. I wake up every day grateful for my God-given gifts, talents and abilities, and I enjoy sharing them with my clients. I based my business in Augusta, Ga, but the thing I love the most is traveling to my clients’ destination where ever they are. I express so much love into my work, that it’s evident down to the smallest details.

I started out in my junior year with just the offering of event decorations. Since then, Events of Amuse has grown into a full service event planning and design firm. As I got older the vision for beauty and luxury for my clients grew stronger as the days went on. Whatever my client’s needs -has been and will always be my motto. I live for the look on a client’s face when I reveal a space to them. I personal with each client plan step by step there dream day and bring their Luxury Alive. So who am I? Bakari Willis 26 of Augusta, GA and I with Team is Events of Amuse!!!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Out of nine years in the industry and entering so young, I must say I have had my share of obstacles along the way. Although the designing is enjoyed it comes with a bit more. I learned a lot from trial and error and still take in knowledge with experience everyday

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Events of Amuse story. Tell us more about the business.
Events of Amuse is a full service event planning and design firm. Whatever your entertainment needs – my team and I will meet and exceed your dreams. There’s a reason for that. I LOVE weddings. I mean, I really love seeing people united in love and enjoying their big day with the people they love. When you hire me to give oversight to your wedding, I take that job extremely serious. It’s not “just a wedding” to me – it’s YOUR day to have all eyes on you.

So here’s the plan. Don’t wait until I’m booked solid to call me. As soon as you get your ring, give me one! Together we will create a theme that best reflects your personal style and preferences. From there we will start the process of choosing the best venue, packages, catering menu, songs, and all the other details that would drive you crazy without me. As your planner, I am your right hand man, negotiator, shoulder to cry on, and weight loss coach if you need that too!

We are most known for our drop dead gorgeous event transformations and luxury event designs. We are set apart by our signature luxury look when you walk into an Events of Amuse production mouths drop.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I would not say that luck played much part in the success of Events of Amuse. I believe more so blessings and favor with faith and determination has brung me to where I am today.
