Today we’d like to introduce you to Bando, Kold Killa, and Goldie.
Bando, Kold, and Goldie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We started off just dabbling in music and making songs just for fun, but we began to notice that people really liked our music and began building a fan base. When we made our song “Slide”, it took off and got over 20 million views. That’s when we decided to take music seriously.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road for the group or each of us individually. It’s been tough trying to fund our music including paying for videos, studio sessions, and photo shoots. We were paying for it all by ourselves and had a hard time finding a good management team to help us. As far as the group goes, we have had personal issues with each other that have caused us to break up but know we are back together and learning to work through all of our issues.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Bangg3 story. Tell us more about it.
Our group is called Bangg 3. We are a female rap group composed of three members from Columbus, Ohio. We’re different than any other artists right now, especially female rap artists, that are out now. In our music, we don’t have over-sexualized lyrics like many other female rappers today and take pride in that.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
We don’t rely on luck in our progression as an artist. We’ve worked hard for our accomplishments and opportunities that we have. However, we are lucky to have been able to have a fan base that really loves what we do.
