Today we’d like to introduce you to Beano French.
Hi Beano, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story started with me telling my Mom I wanted to sing. She said if you gonna sing, you gonna start in the church choir. She never held me to just only singing gospel, that then lead to entering Talent Shows, then music showcases in & around the city. Winning almost everyone one and building an organic support base that almost never misses a show.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been the smoothest but it’s groomed me into the Artist I am today. I was always told this career choice wasn’t easy so It kinda prepared me for a long road, I can’t say I knew it would be as tuff as it is but I honestly don’t think I’d change any of it. The highs have always outweighed the lows and you can’t have 1 without the other. I’ve gotten plenty of No’s from TV to labels & “He’s just a local guy”. To selling out multiple shows having music & videos on National Tv. It’s all a part of what makes me, Me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a singer/songwriter/event host from West Philly. I think I’m the most proud of I haven’t gotten away from being myself with the success that I’ve had thus far, and I’ve made my family & city proud & I haven’t even really scratched my surface. What sets me apart is that I’m extremely transparent & open about my journey, even with everything I’ve done thus far I still work a job to keep my afloat. I’ve never been too cool to be me, I know I’m talented I just have had that major break, YET!
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was extremely shy & laid back but always the loving dependable one, I’m the middle child. Extremely family oriented… My first love was actually Football. I liked singing but I really grew a love for it once I saw women liked it. Lol
