I guess like many bakers, our careers started with either making mud pies or receiving an Easy-Bake oven for Christmas. I remember making mud pies for my siblings in the backyard. I was given the opportunity to create dessert tables for family events. The positive feedback and recognition I received was overwhelming, and from there, I was determined to turn my passion into an opportunity to share my ‘sweet creations’ with others.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being a business owner, I believe we all go through obstacles of believing in ourselves and wondering am I good enough. Yes, I had those days of doubt and wondering how can I get it all done. I always want to make sure that I deliver the best products with every order that goes outside of my doors. I spend many days and nights watching YouTube videos and blogs trying to keep up with the latest trends in the sweet treat world.

Sweet Creations by B specializes in custom cakes, cookies, and cake pops. We also offer appetizer-style catering. Surprisingly Sweet Creations by B is known for Linda D’s chicken salad, a secret family recipe. I am most proud of how my company has blossomed from a hobby and a desire to bake to the opportunity to serve others for any and all celebratory occasions. I specialize in sweet and delicious treats.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wish that I would have followed my dream sooner. Even though family and friends told me that I could do it, I allowed fear and doubt to deter me.
