Today we’d like to introduce you to Belle’ Flame.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Belle’. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Well, to start it off a child from East Atlanta GA, I was a little tomboy loving music with dreams of being a worldwide superstar one day. Growing up, I have seen a lot in my household, in the streets, and being around things I shouldn’t have been round, and so I would write poems about my views. My father was a very great man in my eyes being a Marine but had a struggle with the street life and having a drug habit which left my mom at the point of no return at times dealing with the struggles and taking care of 2 girls me and my sister. Me and my mother hardly seen eye to eye because I was the rebel child and sometimes I had to play the role of being a protector in the home for my mom. So I started turning my poems into raps and put the things I witnessed or I did in my life to a beat. I also had friends like Ludacris and Bobby “I-20” when I attended Clarkston high school I did music with but I didn’t believe in myself so I stopped a few times. But I kept being round music and music industry people as I was getting older so I knew it was my passion of mines to keep. So after giving birth to my daughter in 2007, I decided that I would wait till she gets a little older and dove in headfirst with my dream. So now here today I eat, sleep, daydream, and live my music speaking all my life experiences through it. I continue to push myself because my dream is bigger than me I have my daughter pushing me and a mom that I take care of depending on me to use my star power and strength to win
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well of course not I deal with a lot especially being a beautiful female in a male-dominated industry where majority of the men feel they’re better lyrically than women or that they can proposition us with gifts or money for a piece of leverage in this game which is lame and doesn’t work my way. I stay focus, listening and watch carefully for bullshit also I have a strong support system that I always ask questions to if I don’t know so I won’t get played in this dirty game
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a femcee, a raw and uncut female rap artist that spits real-life stories in my lyrics. Funny but I’m known for my long tongue lol, my dope music, and my cool personality. I think I’m in my own lane based on my views, my style and the things I speak on I wanna make people feel good or be able to relate to me just because I’m pretty I’m hood too just know how to turn it on and off lol
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck I’ve had good things turn too bad in my life that makes me somewhat feel numb to a lot of things so I just have to keep faith and believe in myself throw it up in the universe also push myself hard.
