Today we’d like to introduce you to Ben Shytle, Andrew DeLong, Jordan Russell and Justin Wren.
So, before we jump into specific questions about your band, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We all met playing music in different bands around Athens. So, we started hanging out, and over time, all started writing music together around November 2017.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The Coronavirus pandemic has definitely slowed us down a bit. Just like with most bands, it’s been a real pain to sit around and wait for things to get back to “normal.” We’re ready to get out there and play some damn shows.
One good thing that the shutdowns have done for us was give us time to start writing some new songs for when the world fires back up. That being said, when it comes to writing new music together and getting along with each other, it has always been a pretty smooth road.
We’d love to hear more about your band.
We’re still a fairly young rock band, but our proudest achievement so far would have to be finally recording our debut EP. We recorded it with Jay Rodgers at Full Moon Studios in Watkinsville. Jay is the man, and he really made it easy for us. We can’t wait to release it!
We’ve made some awesome friends in killer bands around the East Coast, so hopefully, in the near future, we’ll be able to release this EP and then get on the road!

The Athens music scene has an abundance of genuinely supportive human beings. Specifically, everyone from the Shadebeast community has been more than good to us. But really, all of the bands in Athens are incredibly supportive of each other. We feel very fortunate to be a part of the community.
