Meet Ber-Henda Williams of B Intentional

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ber-Henda Williams.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ber-Henda. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I believe that my work as a business coach for empaths is a progression. I started out as an educator and bi-lingual performance poet. I believe that poets, teachers, counselors, and care-givers are naturally empathic. An empath is someone who can feel the thoughts and emotions of another person as if these feelings were their own. I love helping people and supporting them to rise to their fullest potential. I believe my career in education has helped me to relate to people on a deeper level and poetry leads us to a deeper understanding of how to process our emotions. Today, I have the pleasure of working with empathic business owners who want to use their gifts in service to humanity through cultural shifting and social justice work.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been anything but smooth! My work is far from conventional and my pathway to authenticity has been full of twists and turns. I have had to check in with my mental and emotional well-being, close out some relationships/connections that did not serve my highest good and walk a path of sheer faith. There were days when I wondered how I would be able to provide for myself. I questioned who I thought I was to even dare to seek a life outside of teaching. Teaching is a noble profession but I desired more. I wanted to express more and be in a position where I could be myself and support the changes I want to see in the world, I believe that as we are watching the dismantling of systemic racism and the public outcry for justice is causing us to have a bigger call to service and support. I deeply believe each of my struggles were the rungs on the ladder that lead to me the work that I am doing now. Empathy and compassion are pillars to which are going to rebuild our humanity.

B Intentional – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Visionary+Empath Coach. I support empathic creative, visionary + empaths to find their voice, embrace feminine power, and create mission-based businesses in service of social transformation, justice and equity. When I am not doing that, I run a girl’s leadership program, The Power of Girlhood for girls 8-18 Además, soy una poeta bilingüe. Me encanta poesía. I am a bilingual poet, I love poetry. I am most proud that I am able to support women and use their business to heal generational wounds, create businesses that they love and empower others. For the record, I do not believe in competition. It is impossible to do the same thing as someone else and I especially don’t like it in the context of other women. We have a unique way of doing things. My approach is that I am not just a business coach, I incite my clients to take revolutionary actions through business and life to heal and transform their lives and the lives of others.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I have most recently I reconnected with a former client to help her to lay the foundation of coaching business. I am so proud of her and the mission to help high performing yet low recognition Black professionals to break the class ceiling in their lives so that they can have more fulfilling lives. This really lights me up when I see my clients expand into what is possible for their lives.
