Today we’d like to introduce you to Bibi Huynh.

Bibi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since I was in school, I worked a part-time job at several Nails salons in Atlanta area. So, I had a little bit experience in the Nails industrial. After finishing school from Georgia State University in Finance major in 2013, few months searching for jobs, I worked at a small company which were an Inventory Specialist position. However, I always dream one day I have my own business. Suddenly, I had a change to buy B Nails from my friend. However I didn’t have enough money to buy, I borrowed some from my friend and my family. In July 2014, I were an owner at B Nails salon.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like everyone who starting business, it is always hard. For the first year, I thought I couldn’t do it. Everything were new to me. I had to learn every step and solved every problem, like you know, this is a customer service job at the beauty salon. You have to learn how to serve different kinds of people. Some are really nice but some are really picky. Because it were a new business, therefore I had to do a lot of marketing. I created a website by myself that way were saved for me a little bit money because after buying the salon, I didn’t have much money for running. I had to buy a lot of nails supply and remodel a little bit for the salon. I do a lot marketing on free website, for example, yelp, google and yellow page. It helped a lot for people searching my salon. However, the hardest thing were hiring people. From 2 staffs, now we have 10 people working part time and full time.

Please tell us about B Nails Salon.
My business is a beauty salon. We specialize in manicure, pedicure, gel manicure, acrylic nails and waxing eyebrow. I am a manager and also a nail technician. I specialize in acrylic nails. The most proud of as a company is we focus on quality nails and service. We have very friendly staffs and the shop is always clean and fresh.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would love to do the same thing again because everything here is new to me. I learn a lot of things which were I had never learn from school.
