Today we’d like to introduce you to Birkan Tore.
Birkan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
What I do, working with my intuition is a part of who I am—being an intuitive. Looking back, I don’t remember a time where I wasn’t using my intuition one way or another. Although being intuitive wasn’t enough for me. In fact, it gave me even more questions which I believe gave me this voracious appetite to learn. I’ve been and always will be a student of spirituality. Back when I was young, I didn’t know this could actually be my career that I could teach spiritual classes or coach people for living. I didn’t have any examples of that anywhere around me. So I chose the closest other thing that would make me happy; studied Modern Dance at the University.
A major injury brought a very early end to my career as a dancer and all I had left with was my spiritual work. Even as a dancer I was giving energy healing sessions and intuitive readings to people anyway. I lost my career and pretty much everything else in my life following that injury but looking back I only have gratitude in my heart. Because it ended up freeing me from what I thought I had to do and allowed me to find what I love to do instead! When I finally became aware of the Angels and started working with them, my goals and dreams started materializing faster and faster.
I think my turning point was deciding to teach what I knew and did because my life kinda took off from that point on. That’s how I started traveling, teaching around the world, meeting amazing people and in the process, more and more people became aware of me and what I did. Of course being on TV and eventually being given my own tv show in Sweden has gave me a much larger platform to teach about Angels and Intuition. Two topics that I love and teach the most.
Has it been a smooth road?
Neither the road to success or building my own name and business were smooth roads. Especially the beginning. I was the first challenge because I had to get use to the idea of charging people for what I did my entire life for free; for giving readings or energy healing. I even tried having side jobs to support me financially but I’d be too tired do the spiritual work and eventually was able to heal and shift my perception of money, and its relationship with spirituality. Once I made my peace with this new form of -for me that is- energy exchange, I still had to let people know that I was doing this.
Following that challenge, I still had to find a way to let people know what I did so I could get clients. While word of mouth is an amazing way of growing one’s business, you still need people to find you first so they can actually recommend you to others later. I couldn’t afford to advertise so I used social media to let people see what I do, and who I am. I started with blogging which eventually lead me to write my first book. Then used social media to let people see who I was, what I believed in and what I had to offer.
I also found out being successful does not mean there won’t be any challenges. In fact, I was so busy and happy with my life at one point that I didn’t realize that was working too much. Between constant traveling, teaching, working with clients, writing and filming I kinda fried my brain and body in general I suppose. You know how they say if you love what you do, you’ll never need a vacation because it won’t feel like work? Nope! The body needs to rest! Regardless of how much you love what you do!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Birkan Tore – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I’m an Intuitive Coach, Healer and A Spiritual Teacher who works with individuals and groups of people around the world—both online and in person. Yet I think I’m mostly known for my work with the Angels. Recently one of my beloved teachers Master Glenn Mendoza dubbed me as the Angel Mystic and it kinda stuck because I love it and really describes who I am.
I’m so grateful that I was given my tv show Räddad Av Änglar (Saved by the Angels) so I could talk about all kinds of spiritual topics on mainstream tv. Im also grateful to meet so many amazing people through my sessions and classes. It hasn’t been always an easy journey but definitely a fulfilling one.
I’m here to help people heal their lives. Some psychics only focus on telling people what’s ahead of them. While I do keep an eye on probable outcomes of their past and current thoughts and actions and interactions (future, in short,) I’m more excited about helping them co-create their futures or change if needed. I know that there are many people feel stuck and I’m here to help them get unstuck. I believe we can all benefit from some Intuitive Guidance and have someone take a look at the big picture for us when we’re too close or attached to the said picture!
My energy sessions focus specifically energetic aspect of their life, thoughts, health, and homes. Because I believe our happiness and health is directly influenced by the energy of our environment as well.
Teaching is probably my favorite aspect of what I do and always a part of everything I do because even during my 1-1 sessions I got to share techniques, tips, and information that can help my clients. Especially teaching about Angels because working with them changed my life and Intuition because, well, you do need your intuition to receive the guidance of your Angels and also to make healthier decisions in life.
Intuition isn’t only for psychics y’all! Living a six-sensory life is a much richer and enjoyable experience than the one with five senses alone.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Having lived in a few different countries and cities, I came to appreciate each city for what they are. In the US I lived in Los Angeles prior to moving Atlanta and I must admit that I actually love the food way better here. I don’t think I could eat one more leaf of kale in LA! Now enjoying the land of mac&cheese and fried….well…everything! Looking the way I do and doing what I do, I didn’t know how people would respond to me here in the South but I’m grateful to say I received nothing but love and yes, stares from a few confused people here and there probably wondering which space ship I just stepped off from.
I do miss the strong and diverse new age and spiritual community of Los Angeles but also love seeing the speed of growth of spirituality here and happy to be a part of it. I found my spiritual home here at Atlanta Pranic Healing Center where I also hold my in-person sessions now (in addition to my usual Skype sessions.) The center hosts several weekly group meditations free of charge. You can always join me and my friends there on Sundays at 4:30 for Meditation on Twin Hearts.
