I am the founder of Blair’s Belts.
My Atlanta based company was featured in the December 2017/January 2018 Garden&Gun issue for the Made in the South Awards as well the 2017 Vogue November Issue and other notable publications. I am 28 years old and live in Atlanta, GA. I went to the University of Alabama and studied Fashion Merchandising and Business.
Blair’s Belts design handmade alligator and crocodile belts and bracelets. We offer a wide assortment of alligator, crocodile and stretch belts. The stretch belts are a favorite especially since you can customize the color of both the tabs that stretch. They feature alligator tabs, making it a luxury item. They are great on the course, in the field or out on the town! The crocodile belts come in over 22 GREAT colors and look fantastic with any outfit. Also, I can customize any alligator or crocodile strap for ANY buckle you may have, Gucci, Chanel, bring them all! The bracelets are so fun and complement other jewelry. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Hell no! That is what business and life is all about! “Patience is a virtue” My product is all handmade and one of a kind. I sometimes struggle with getting the product made as fast as someone wants it or expects it. However, it is always worth the wait. Also, being one of a kind, it is hard to make the exact piece twice.

Golfers (male and female) focus on improving their stances and swings. Blair Beskin focuses on improving their belts. “Everybody loves woven stretch belts for comfort, but they can look nicer,” says the twenty-seven-year-old, who studied fashion merchandising at the University of Alabama and got the idea from eyeballing her dad’s golf attire. The fix? Replace the cheap leather tabs (the front, holed section) with a more luxurious alligator skin crafted in fifty-six steps at an Atlanta workshop by a small team of artisans. The accessories are fashion-forward, too: The Filbelt (named after Beskin’s mutt, Filbert) can be custom ordered in an almost limitless choice of tab finishes and strap colors that range from staid tan to bold red-and-white. “Instead of just putting on a belt, you’re planning your look around it,” Beskin says. “When you look good, you feel good.” Even if you never make it onto a golf course.
