Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandie Chambers.
Hi Brandie , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My passion for hair began in high school while working at Cracker Barrel—I’d give my coworkers makeovers, highlighting their hair with products from Sally’s and even using kitchen scissors when that’s all I had. I quickly realized that making people feel confident came naturally to me.
I knew college wasn’t my path, so I enrolled in cosmetology school and attended The Aveda Institute in Atlanta. At first, I thought I wanted to work in film, but after assisting in a salon to get my foot in the door, I fell in love with the salon environment and the client relationships.
I eventually moved to Atlanta and opened a salon suite in Buckhead, B. Suite Salon, hustled to build a loyal clientele, and was later noticed by Kenra Professional, becoming an educator for them. That opportunity inspired me to expand and open a full salon, where I ran a successful business and employed a team for five years.
When my lease ended, life looked different—I had a toddler and a newborn—so I chose to return to suite rental for more flexibility.
Almost three years ago, I opened Wildflower Hair Studio with my best friend, Ashley Thompson, and it’s truly been the happiest and most aligned season of my career.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. While I’m grateful for where I am now, the journey has had its fair share of challenges. When I opened my salon suite B. Suite Salon, I hustled hard to build a clientele from the ground up. Eventually, I expanded into a full salon and had a thriving business with employees—but then the global pandemic hit.
Owning a business during that time was extremely difficult, both mentally and financially. Navigating shutdowns, uncertainty, and the responsibility of supporting clients and team members was one of the most stressful experiences of my career. There were days I questioned everything, but pushing through taught me resilience and reinforced why I love this industry.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Wildflower Hair Studio?
At Wildflower Hair Studio, we’ve built a space that’s not only beautiful but truly welcoming—where clients feel seen, cared for, and empowered. We specialize in affordable extensions and expert gray blending, offering luxury results with an approachable price point. Our clients know us for creating natural, seamless looks, whether that means enhancing fullness and length or blending gray in a way that feels soft, modern, and low-maintenance.
What sets us apart is the experience we create. We focus heavily on customization and education, taking the time to truly understand our clients’ lifestyle, hair goals, and comfort levels. We want every guest to leave our chair feeling confident and heard, not just looking good but feeling good.
We’re also known for being real and relatable. There’s no intimidation factor when you walk into Wildflower—just two best friends who love what they do and genuinely love the people sitting in our chairs. Our clients appreciate that we provide top-tier results without the ego or excessive pricing that can sometimes come with specialty services.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the community we’ve grown. Wildflower reflects authenticity, warmth, and resilience. We’ve created an environment where people feel comfortable opening up, trusting us, and even looking forward to their appointments like a reset.
At the end of the day, we’re not just doing hair—we’re building relationships, restoring confidence, and helping people feel like the best version of themselves. That’s what Wildflower is all about.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that often surprises people is that outside of doing hair, I’m obsessed with true crime. One day, I’d love to launch a true crime podcast with my best friend Ashley called “Murder With My Hairstylist.” We joke that some of our most intense conversations happen while foiling highlights, so why not take it to a mic?
Most people know me as a stylist, educator, and salon owner—but what they may not realize is how much I love storytelling and digging into psychology, human behavior, and why people do what they do. I’m fascinated by the deeper layers of people, whether it’s behind the chair or diving into a mystery.
Who knows—maybe one day your hair appointment at Wildflower will come with a live recording session.
