Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Wood.
Brandon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
“Went from behind the camera to the front.” Throughout the last two years, I’ve been pursuing my business in photography and filmmaking. I started the business in August of 2018 and have gradually become a specialist but there’s always room for improvement. I definitely enjoy doing what I do and will continue to help others create the vision they admire.
“Now to the front.” I have never been photogenic and always had some insecurities about myself. Things have suddenly changed and I’m more confident than ever now. I want to be in front of the camera and actually pursue a modeling career eventually. I’m also willing to be a brand ambassador for clothing companies if needed. I’m willing to work.
Before, I suffered with psoriasis and depression. My skin put me in a bad place for a long time. I had to learn how to live with it and it wasn’t easy. Throughout my life, I’ve always worried about what others think of me, instead of putting that aside and just being me. So I want to encourage others to overcome their insecurities, fears, or whatever it is they are going through to enjoy life more and be at peace. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, the road wasn’t so smooth from the start with my psoriasis and depression but now things have got better after finding a relationship with God and expressing how I feel with him. My psoriasis is slowly but surely going away and psoriasis is a lifelong skin disease so that should tell you something. It’s been one of my insecurities for years. I’m just overly thankful for what he has going on for my life right now.

I’m a photographer and filmmaker currently but transitioning into the muse and a brand ambassador. I want to be behind and in front of the camera. It’s what I do and enjoy so why not?
I’m proud of the business I’ve pursued and the content I can produce for clients. What sets me apart from others is I encourage people to be comfortable in their own skin because I know where I was at, at one point, of my life and not being photogenic didn’t help anything.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Willingness to inspire others. I’m really big on positivity and surrounding myself around like-minded people. I love it when I can be myself around someone instead of being in a shell or trying to figure someone out. I like to compliment and be complimented on success, overcoming an obstacle, or accomplishing an achievement.
