Breea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The Love Solider Brand was created in February 2019. I was at a place in my life where I felt like I had reached a dead end. I had no plans for the future. From that space, Love Soldier was born. Love soldier represents strength. When you wear Love Soldier, it is a reminder that you can overcome any obstacle that you are facing and that you can do it even with a broken heart. You don’t have to wait until you are fully healed to work towards greatness. Love Solider is strength in the midst of heartbreak. I want people to know that they can use their heartbreak as fuel to accomplish their dreams while healing in the process.
Has it been a smooth road?
My life has not been a smooth road. My first real adult struggle started when I was unable to complete college. I had to leave my senior year because I could no longer afford it. When I returned home, I was completely broken. I was completely disappointed in myself, though I didn’t present it to the world that way. I tried to keep a smile on my face & carry on as if that pain wasn’t killing me inside. For the next couple of years, I was stuck in a place of emptiness. I laughed, I had fun with my friends and family and I carried on like everything was okay, but the pain lingered. Eventually, I pulled myself together. I started working and I began to slowly pull myself out of that dark place. By 2016, I had a good job, a new house, a new car and I were in a relationship that I thought would last forever. During that time, I started a new business. I believed in it so much that I left my job to solely focus on the business. Two years later, I was left empty and broken again. No house, no car, no relationship, no business. Once again, my spirit was filled with emptiness.
In 2019 I found myself back in the same place. It was the start of a new year and I didn’t know what I wanted to do or where to start. Everything that I had been working towards was gone and I was grieving. After a few weeks of wallowing in my sadness, I decided to get up. I meditated, I prayed, I detoxed & I begin to clear my mind of the negative forces holding me down. I began to release my sadness by writing. I wrote poems, short scripts, ideas and anything that removed the pain from my chest. That is how Love Soldier was birthed. I used Love Soldier to pull myself out of that dark place and to inspire people to do the same. One month later, my brother passed away. My life was rocked with a whole new level of grief. A feeling that will never fully fade.
During this time, I knew that I had to be strong but I didn’t know where to pull the strength from. My business was beginning to do well but I would’ve chosen my brother over my business any day. In my quiet moments with God, I started to listen again. I knew that I could not depend on my own understanding. He reminded me of what my brother would’ve wanted for me. He guided my heart and mind to focus on the future. I knew that my brother would not want me in bed, crying all day, missing out on opportunities. I knew that he wouldn’t want me to sink back into an empty space. So, I began to shift my focus back to my brand. While encouraging others through Love Soldier, I was also encouraging myself. The road hasn’t been easy but I am truly blessed for what this brand has grown into. Love Soldier is “Strength in the midst of heartbreak.”

The Love Soldier Brand began with apparel and has now expanded to an app and the LS Create and Ship branch. Love Soldier has a collection of shirts, masks and more that represent strength. Currently, I am most proud of my Love Soldier Brand App. I created the app myself as an extension of my brand. Through all of the tools, my main goal is to inspire. I want to show people that they can do it to. If I can overcome my obstacles to create this brand, they can as well. LS Create and Ship is an extension that I started to help others start their own brand. We design and create stores for future business owners and we ship their products. LS C&S does all of the background work for business while the owner focuses on growing. The foundation is what makes Love Soldier ride in a lane of its own.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that our city supports individuality. You do not have to conform to feel like you are apart of something bigger. The negative side is that many people feel that they have to step on other people to grow. If your sole reason for leveling up is just to prove people wrong, you will get to a point where building on that becomes impossible.
