Hi Breyanna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My entrepreneurship journey started from my genuine passion for traveling and a desire to embrace other cultures outside of my own. I truly believe traveling allows you to become a storyteller and aids with personal and professional growth.

My travel journey began as a young child where I explored the world with my Grandmother, Joyce S. Gibbs aka “Gigi”. She was a world traveler herself and always inspired me with her stories from around the world. My grandmother ingrained in me my thirst for travel. I aspired to make my own travel memories to one day share with my loved ones. By the age of eight, I had experienced four countries and 10 major cities. I’ll be honest; I had always thought traveling was expensive until I began to travel more following undergrad. I would plan group trips with a budget in mind and would then determine where to go based on that. Planning trips came naturally to me and it was something I enjoyed doing. I loved being able to expose my friends to traveling and exploring the world.

In 2019, I successfully planned a 10-day trip to Europe. At the conclusion of this trip, I knew I wanted to provide this type of experience to others. It was on my flight returning to the States that I began sketching my logo and “Beautiful Bookings by Bre” was born. Following the completion of travel agent training, I received my certification to operate as an accredited independent travel advisor. With the help of friends, family, and social media advertising, I have had the privilege to serve over 100 clients in making their travel dreams come true.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say the road has had some twists and turns with some smooth strides. Travel rates are constantly fluctuating based on the economy. The cost of flights post-pandemic has discouraged some people from traveling, but we learn to maneuver these times the best way we can. One of my biggest challenges would be managing my client’s expectations. The nature of being a travel advisor is balancing the desire to provide a quality luxury experience and staying within your client’s budget. There have been times where I have had to recommend an alternate location while risking their disappointment. It’s my job to be honest and educate my clients with the common goal of having an optimal vacation. Despite the unpredictability that comes with being a travel advisor, helping my clients create memories worldwide makes it all worth it. #WHOBOOKEDYA

Beautiful Bookings By Bre is a travel business based in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia). Whatever your dream vacation may be, we can make it happen. My extensive personal travel is what truly sets me apart from other travel advisors. Most of the experiences that I book and recommend to my clients are ones that I have enjoyed myself. Unlike booking websites, I’ll go above & beyond to make sure all your needs are met and all your questions are answered in a timely manner. More importantly, I provide education and transparency on what to expect pre, during and post-travel. This is a curated luxury experience that you will not find anywhere else.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Purity, patience and perseverance are the three essentials that have contributed to my success above the passion I have for travel. My ambition, interpersonal and leadership skills also play a huge role in my success. Being able to talk to people and have them instill their trust in you is vital to the longevity of any travel advisory business.
