Thanks for sharing your story with us Breyuna. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In 2016 the birth of Bar Queens began. Working at Twin Peaks in Augusta, GA as a bartender, I pretty much had an epiphany that I could cut out the middle man and I could learn how to create essentially an event planning/bartending experience on my own.

I actually pitched the idea to my former bar manager, and then I thought of just going ahead and doing it my self. It has taken me years of frustration, loneliness, loss of relationships, and late nights to get this point honestly speaking. But, I knew I could not stop, because it would eventually become greater than myself. I wrote down EVERYTHING that I wanted to accomplish, I promoted via social media, and pretty much word of mouth has been working to market Bar Queens.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been far from a smooth road. I literally had to start from absolutely ground zero! I had to learn how to construct an LLC, registering my business, creating a logo and website, and discovering branding and marketing techniques. This definitely took some time and self-motivation. Some of the struggles I encountered were: how to scale a service-based business, finding my target audience, pricing of packages, and most importantly networking.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Bar Queens – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Bar Queens, is a women-driven bar-planning company that specializes in high-volume/large events. We pride ourselves in exceptional customer service, tailoring bartending packages to suit our clients’ needs, and engaging with clients and their guests for a ‘signature experience.’ I am most proud to represent minority women/mother’s in business. I wanted to represent hospitality in a correct manner. I wanted to ensure each service provided felt like reuniting with an old friend at the local bar; whether it is a networking mixer or a birthday party, no one leaves going unnoticed! We are built and equipped to handle small-intimate gatherings to capacious galas without sacrificing customer service and jeopardizing a clients’ vision. We are a professional, certified, and experienced team with a driven purpose to go above and beyond a service-needed all the while doing it with class, etiquette, taste, and poise.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In 2019, the expansion of Bar Queens will blossom into a full-fledged Hospitality group. We will utilize our platform to provide our communities’ creators and entrepreneurs an opportunity to become apart of a budding entity focused on providing an exceptional experience meant to be shared.
