Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Caruthers.
Brian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, I always had a passion for the beauty industry since I was young. My best friend did hair and I remember telling her, “I’m going to school for nails” she encouraged me. Fast forward to 2015, I had moved to Atlanta, Georgia and was working a corporate job, and at that time I wasn’t happy, the company laid us off. I took that time to enroll in ISSNT in Sandy Springs to start my journey as a Nail Technician. It wasn’t easy but it was well worth it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road for me, but my teacher whom I call (Moma Nails) Stephanie Allen prepared me for the road ahead. Everything she told me came to pass. I went thru numerous shops, friendships, lost relationship(s) and so much more, but it was my faith in God and my circle of friends that kept me and I’m forever thankful for them.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Kingofheartznailz – what should we know?
My business Kingofheartznailz is a nail bar and I specialize in a lot of things from Acrylics, Bling Nails, custom color and so much more. I am most proud of how far I have came within this short time, it takes time, but if you stay dedicated, motivated and wagered to learn the sky is the limit. What sets me apart from others because I am an African American Male that does nails, and does a wonderful job at what I do.

God first because without him I’m nothing, he has never left me nor forsaken me!! My mom Brenda Caruthers is definitely my angel. My cousin Felicity Noire, Latoya Mount, Jackie Derrickson, Meyaunee Taylor, Javon Crockett, and Falasia Pemberton as well played a part in who I am as a person and have stood the test of time with building Kingofheartznailz.
