Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Henderson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Brian. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out filming little challenges like the cinnamon, and Harlem shake videos with my friends when I was a freshman at Albany State University. Filming small comedic skits was next, those I posted to YouTube. Noticing how people gravitated to them, we decided to keep going. After that comedic phase, we started doing short films that was filled with action and drama. At the time, I was a Business Management major and felt like it wasn’t what I truly wanted to do. I then changed my major to Mass Communication. Recording videos became more than just a hobby or something fun we did with our friends; it turned into a passion. We started to take filming more serious with our acting, editing, and overall filmmaking abilities. I graduated then started entering films into film festivals. Our films started to get on platforms, tv and streaming services like; ROKU, MAFA short films, and sofy.tv. Now our next mission is to take over the film and entertainment industry while staying true to ourselves.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road, and there were a lot of struggles along the way. There were times that we didn’t even know what we wanted to do; we didn’t have an identity. We were just trying to be funny on camera and post. With that and trying to work with people who didn’t take it as serious as you would. It was difficult to get anything accomplished.
