Meet Briana Fountain of The Blooming Babe in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Fountain.

Briana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When the summer of 2018 began, I started my blog and began reflecting on my life in college. I thought about my time as an RA in which I learned about the Five Wellbeings and how they lead to a happier life. I took that idea to heart, expanded it to include two more wellbeings, and did a little remixing. These became my guides to holistic health and wellness. I created goals for myself, tracked them, held myself accountable, and improved my life.

Well, fast forward to a year later. I feel physically healthier. I got a new job. Bae and I are making plans to take some big steps together and my friends and I are tackling my Fall Bucketlist. All of this good growth and blooming began on that wonderful day, I decided to practice holistic wellness.

I learned so many lessons, stumbled and gotten back up, and now I use The Blooming Babe to share my stories and lessons with my readers!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My original setback was not having a focus. My blog was originally Aperture526 and it focused more on my hobby photography, but as I began to blog more and more, I realized that my niche was really wellness. That is when I rebranded to The Blooming Babe. Setbacks after that have been self-doubt, small setbacks like missing deadlines, and general impatience. At the end of the day, I have to remember not to place too much emphasis in the numbers of followers I have at the moment and remember that I am serving those who need help and slow growth is still growth.

We’d love to hear more about The Blooming Babe.
The Blooming Babe helps young adults and recent graduates cultivate techniques for practicing holistic health and wellness so that you can live your best life. Each month, I publish blogs based on my Seven Well beings:

👩🏽‍💼 Career
👩🏽‍🎓 Education
💆🏽‍♀️ Mental
🧖🏾‍♀️ Physical
👯‍♀️ Social
💑 Relationship
💵 Financial

Along with this, I publish a monthly blog series called The Quarter Life Crisis Chronicles in which I talk about that pesky little crisis that torments or mid-twenties, the many things that cause it, and how to solve it all.

As a blogger, I am most proud of genuinely making a difference in people’s lives. No one really teaches us how to be happy or how to live a healthy life and I am slowly but surely doing that. What sets me apart is my voice. I empower people to take control of their health and wellness with refreshing takes on modern issues faced by Millenials. I choose to inspire by being authentic.

What were you like growing up?
I feel like I am still growing up and its been interesting to see how my personality has changed over time. My interest has never really changed. I love to learn; I like comics and sci-fi, being a southern belle and slight redneck (that’s what happens when you grow up in rural Georgia.), being involved in extracurricular activities and meeting new people.

However, my personality growing up was very meek and introverted through middle school and high school. I broke out of my shell in college and was highly involved and even made it on the Homecoming Court for Kennesaw State’s inaugural football season. Now, as a post-grad young adult, I find myself being an ambivert. I love to hang out and play around like I am an IG influencer, but I also seek alone, quiet time because it is sacred.
