Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Bachus
Hi Brittany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin. At 18 years old, I left home and went into the Air Force, ending up in the public health division. After serving in the military, I shortly thereafter found my way to Atlanta, Georgia. I had figured out early on in my life that I was a creative and my initial Journey reflects that. I was essentially a starving artist in singing groups, danced professionally, and even attempted acting. I eventually worked various jobs to find exactly what I loved. Over the years, I worked in hospitality, I was a flight attendant, worked in an operating room, was a case manager and paralegal, and even began to dabble in ministry. It’s funny how God works in mysterious ways. Fast-forward, I am a lawyer, an ordained minister, and an actor. I am currently the Managing Attorney of the Bachus Firm, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia practicing both personal injury law and criminal defense. I served as an Ordained Elder at New Birth Cathedral in Stonecrest, Georgia under the leadership of Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant and I am also an actor on the Kountry Wayne Skits, a multi-million viewer platform. Along the journey, I questioned whether I was scattered, but it has now been revealed that I am multi-talented and God is allowing me to use all of my gifts.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road has been anything but smooth. Even in my early years, I had a turbulent path. I won’t go into full detail here, but my message around the journey is clear. To those seeking to attain greatness, how you start has little bearing on how you finish. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve experienced major, traumas, abuses, mental health issues, financial issues, legal issues, character issues, you can work through those issues be intentional and strategic around both healing and growth and you can still come out on top. I’ve experienced each of these, and God has blessed me not to look like my turbulence.
We’ve been impressed with The Bachus Firm, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a boutique law firm specializing in personal injury and criminal defense matters. We fight for our clients, not just by knowledge but by prayer. Yes. We actually pray for and with our clients because we know legal matters are filled with more than that, but with the intricacies of people’s lives that need prayer and legal assistance.
What does success mean to you?
To me, success is essentially the realization of one’s talents and gifts and the ability to not only exercise those gifts, but to be true to them. And it’s an even better when you can monetize them.
But truthfully, there re is no monodirectional view of success, but instead, it’s multifaceted and multilayered. My areas to assess are mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial. You could be succeeding in some areas while lacking success in others. So, we always have to do a constant assessment on where we are.
