Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Bernier.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Brittany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I graduated from college with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design, specializing in Unisex clothing. While in college, I started my clothing brand Any (Ah-Knee) unisex, which is a unisex Fashion brand that believes in gender equality and challenges the Industry’s traditional standards. We specialize in highlighting the beauty of both genders by implementing modern-minimalistic silhouettes for various sizes. In first starting in my clothing brand, I wanted my brand to consist of multiple categories aside from just clothing, I made it a goal into expanding into a home décor company starting with hand poured candles and decorative pillows. So, with this dream, came the birth of Ani + Co.
Ani + Co. is a Handmade Home Décor company based out of Atlanta, Georgia we specialize in coconut wax candles and other home décor accessories
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced thus far is being able to stand out from all the other candle brands out there. But because I know this is my calling in life, I am enjoying the process and getting the purpose of my brand out there. Although competition still rises, I make it my goal to educate the consumer about more natural based candles, because let’s be honest, a lot of people aren’t aware of the toxic fumes used in those synthetic candles, so it’s my mission to educate more natural alternatives.

As a company, we strive to create pieces that add the right amount of spice to your space. Our candles are meant to reclaim your own inner peace and channel positivity with a memorable scent you dare to forget. Our candles are made to order to ensure you have a fresh burning experience, our scents are made with organic essential oils. Our mission is to educate our consumers on candle safety and provide a pure candle burning experience unlike those other synthetic candle brands, which is what sets us aside. We love to showcase diversity in our brand so once a week, every Tuesday, we do a “Hand feature Tuesday” post across all our social media that highlights a different customer every week holding a different scent.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
My proudest moment would be, building my two companies grown up. I’m a one-woman band and it hasn’t been an easy path, but my passion has always empowered me to think bigger and challenge myself along the way. I used to always be scared to do something as big as what I have now, until one day, I took the leap, and now, I’m finally living my dream.
