Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooklyn Hughes.
Hi Brooklyn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I first fell in love with photography when I was a child. My mother was a model so I grew up around it. I began shooting in 2015. Life inspired me the most. Studying and doing research has helped mold my craft. My determination is what got me where I am today.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It wasn’t smooth initially because I wanted to outdo other photographers. I was comparing my work to others. The road became smoother after I began being in competition with myself.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in highlighting my subject’s attributes. For example, taller women may display poses or movements that accentuate their legs. I’m most known for capturing curves and melanated women. I’m most proud of my growth because I’ve noticed that I’ve gotten better with time. I never stop learning. I provide an experience for my client. From the time they enter to my studio and leave, I want them to be comfortable in an open, judgment-free space to create. I’m a vibe, that’s what sets me apart from others in my field.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
People may not know that I’m shy due to my personality.
