Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Chatman and Stanzel Jackson.
Bryan and Stanzel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Fruition started in 2018 merely out of the love for hats and hat design. We have collectively been in the hat industry for eight years. It’s almost as if we woke up one day like “the time is now, let’s start our own” and did so. What kicked off as designing hats within our network moved to starting our online store and completely running inventory and our operation out of a 700 square foot apartment (sh!t was everywhere!). We were grinding and positioning ourselves to face the public as often as we could through pop-up hat sales & events throughout the US. Our hats and pop-ups received so much love from our “Fruition Family” that after a year and a half, we were able to move our company out of the apartment and into its own studio workshop. Thankfully, our growth is continuous; on August 1, 2020, we are opening our flagship store in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
Has it been a smooth road?
“Smooth” is definitely perspective-based. Fruition has been growing quite quickly but it has been very, very hard work. We are pretty tough on ourselves, so consistently creating products to our standards of quality and fashion is no joke for us. We have and will continue to build solid foundations and business structures that will keep our company grounded for the long haul, meaning lots of thought-leadership, action, very little sleep, and even less fear.

We are most proud of Fruition Hat Company because we’ve found ourselves to be beacons of light to our customers and community. The coolest part is we created that platform through fashion! It’s almost unbelievable (there is SO much in a name y’all [Fruition]). We’re all about freedom and self-expression and proud to be able to encourage the two through hats.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
We love ATLANTA. Being non-natives of this great city and starting a business here couldn’t have been a better story. We always talk about Atlanta being the hub for entrepreneurs of all kinds.
