Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Scott. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Bryan has been an executive leader, entrepreneur, and franchisee in his business career. A product of Penn State University, he was drafted in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft with the 55th pick overall. Chosen by the Atlanta Falcons, he played with the New Orleans Saints and finished his ten-year NFL career with the Buffalo Bills, winning the 2012 Buffalo Bills Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
After Retirement, Bryan landed on Shark Tank, presenting a product to the sharks that absorb shock, and landed a deal with Mark Cuban and Daymond John. That business was sold to Foot Solutions, Inc., and Bryan remained with the new company. Now co-owner and EVP of strategic growth for Foot Solutions, he is helping build this global brand to keep people happy and healthy on their feet.
An avid musician, Bryan plays the piano, drums, and sings. He has released a single called DEDICATED, an uptempo pop anthem to help inspire others. He is also part of the NFL Players Choir, which consists of former and current players, performing at different fundraisers to spread joy and love. They were featured on America’s Got Talent and had a Top 5 finish. He resides in Atlanta with his wife, Maisha, and four daughters, Crystal, Ahmia, Brylan, and Brandyn.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
You can’t get to the top of the mountain if the sides are smooth. All challenges and struggles we face are opportunities to grow and get better and it is important to have that mindset. I believe we all encounter the biggest challenges internally. It could be a lack of self-confidence or being overconfident.
Maybe the struggle of not allowing yourself grace which then adds pressure and stress. Anxiety, depression, and the list goes on that makes this life and business path not so smooth. HOWEVER; I have adopted the mindset that things will either work out or they will work out, and that has kept everything else thrown at me or my business in perspective.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has worked for me to find a mentor and network is to actively participate in industry events, conferences, and professional organizations relevant to your field, and also be daring enough to venture outside of your field.
I try to identify my goals and what I hope to gain from a mentorship or networking relationship. However; the first goal on my list is to always try and be a valuable resource to that relationship. I find great importance in learning how I can help others vs how others can help me.
