Hi Caleb, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been wired to build things and solve problems. As a kid, that looked like selling flags in my neighborhood or finding creative ways to earn a little money. As I got older, that instinct grew into something deeper. I realized I didn’t just enjoy business. I loved helping people take ideas, solutions, and passions and turn them into something that actually worked in the real world.
Five One Nine Marketing started quietly. For a long time, it was a side hustle while I worked in ministry. I grew up around ministry and still care deeply about it, so for a season I kept my business life fairly private. But as the work grew and the impact became clearer, I felt a strong sense of peace and direction to step into it more boldly.
The name Five One Nine comes from Ecclesiastes 5:19, which talks about work as a gift from God. That verse gave me permission to enjoy building something, to care for my family through it, and to invite others into the journey. What started as a side-hustle has grown into a team and a company that serves businesses and organizations across the nation, while still staying rooted right here in our local community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s one thing to experiment on your own. It’s another thing entirely when people depend on you, trust you, and build their livelihood alongside yours.
For me, that challenge was as much internal as it was practical. I had to wrestle with caring too much about what people might think. There was a moment where I had to decide whether I would keep playing small to stay comfortable, or step forward and do what I believed was right.
Leaning into my faith, seeking wise counsel, and choosing obedience over fear changed everything. Once I made that decision, the business grew with more clarity and confidence. That challenge ultimately became one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

At the core, our work is about helping people solve real problems. We partner with business owners and organizations to help them clearly communicate their message and reach the right people with it.
Marketing doesn’t have to be loud, confusing, or full of jargon. We focus on clarity. Whether we’re building a website, developing a full marketing strategy, or helping refine a brand’s message, everything starts with one question. What problem are we solving, and who are we solving it for?
Day to day, that looks like working closely with clients as partners, not transactions. We help businesses show up well online, create meaningful connections, and build trust with their audience. When marketing is done well, it doesn’t feel like noise. It feels like a helpful conversation.
How do you define success?
Success, for me, is measured through people.
If my family is thriving, present, and healthy, that’s success. If the people on my team enjoy their work, are growing personally and professionally, and feel supported, that’s success. When the people around me are winning by their own standards, I know I’m doing something right.
Professionally, I’ve learned that my greatest joy comes from developing people. Helping them grow, solve problems, and step into who they’re meant to be. At the end of the day, even marketing exists to serve people. To connect them with solutions that genuinely help their lives.
