Meet Cam The Artisan, Music Artist/Rapper

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cam The Artisan.

Cam, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Born in Atlanta, I started writing music at an early age. Throughout the course of time, I went back & forth between music & other things that I was interested in growing up. After careful consideration, I came to the realization that music was one thing about myself I just couldn’t get rid of. In 2016 I decided to rebrand myself into who I am today, dropping my first single titled “swim”.

After the release, I quickly began to gain traction around Atlanta & in the process released a slew of other singles to build more awareness. Being supportive of others, being authentic, having quality content, networking & marketing the right way has gotten me to where I am right now in my opinion & after seeing my growth in 2 1/2 years, I truly believe I am on the right path.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not necessarily. In the process I’ve had people shame me for leaving school, make me seem like the bad guy, try to tear down my reputation all over misunderstandings & things that I cannot control. Keeping a leveled mindset & personality while trying to create & make sure things are spot on.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Cam The Artisan – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a music artist, & with having that title my goal is to give quality music to all my listeners & allow them to feel what I feel. I believe that music is my specialty & it’s gotten me to where I am now. I can literally go anywhere in Atlanta & people know who I am and they tell me stories about them playing their friends my music or hearing people they don’t know playing my music. One of my most proudest moments was earlier this year when I threw my album release party. It was a packed house with all tickets sold out. & having a crowd of people knowing your songs word for word & screaming my name this early in my career just pushes me harder & lets me know I’m moving in the right direction.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Man, I just want Grammys. *laughs* but seriously. 1 or 10 wouldn’t hurt. I want to open up for someone on tour which might be a possibility soon. I want my leading single “bliss” to hit the radio, endorsement deals, I want to have my own festival, etc. Just some long & short term goals off the top of my head…
