Today we’d like to introduce you to Camryn Mullin.
Camryn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Starting when I was sixteen, I realized my two passions, acting and being good with children, could mix together with a character company. I began with the Snow Queen and didn’t truly know how to work a business. My costumes and wigs were very low quality, but through the party princess community, I was able to improve everything from makeup techniques to business practices. Lately, I’ve been focusing most on constantly improving and adding characters while continuously advertising. It’s been hard, starting a business at sixteen, but all of the hard work I’ve put in has finally paid off.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The biggest struggle I’ve had to deal with is probably my age. I’ve always been ambitious, so starting my own company at the age of 16 wasn’t quite out of character. Most people don’t traditionally see teens and young adults as business owners, so I wasn’t taken seriously by many. But over the years, I’ve improved my quality and proved that I bring a lot to the table.

Tutus and Tiaras Parties specializes in bringing magic to children’s birthday parties and events by bringing fairytale characters to life.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
As a sixteen-year-old, I had no idea how to run a business so my mother helped with the logistics of it, owning a small business herself, and the party princess community helped with critiquing costume, wig, and makeup quality, offering better options. Without them, I would never have improved.
Pricing:
- $100 – 30 minutes and includes a princess of your choice, sing along, story time, and time allotted for pictures
- $150 – 60 minutes and includes a visit from a princess of your choice, sing along, a game, a craft, story time, and time allotted for pictures
- $200 – 90 minutes and includes a princess of your choice, sing along, two games, a craft, story time and allotted time for pictures
