So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a Westwood College graduate with associates in business administration who achieved the highest honors ending with a 3.9. Upon graduating, I received the “Student Academic Excellence Award” which reads – In recognition of high-quality academic excellence whose personal life, professional achievements and community service exemplify the ideals of the college. I also had the privilege and honor to serve as President of the Phi Beta Lambda business organization school chapter. One of my responsibilities and first exposures to event coordination was to help organize Westwood’s “Taste of Westwood” & “Christmas Toy Drive”. I served as a volunteer with various organizations, such as Stevie Baggs 2010 Football Camp, the Vision Walk (A Cure is Insight) in 2013, the 2014 Ceta Foundation Symposium, and Be the Match Foundation from 2012 to 2014.
Over the years, I developed a love for organizing my friend’s events. Their response to how thoughtful and detailed, yet cost-effective, their events were, led them to have such an amazing experience that brought joy to my heart. The gratitude and appreciation that was expressed revealed to me that I may have found my calling. As a result, Divine Conextions Enterprise was born. Has it been a smooth road?
No, when starting a business you have a season of forecasting. Finding out your lows and highs of your business. I used my savings to start my business I didn’t get my 1st client until I ran out of money and rent was due! With that being said, I’ve had ups and downs, cries and smiles but was grateful for it all.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Divine Conextions Enterprise story. Tell us more about the business.
I concern myself as the “BackGround Slayer” there is always someone in the background pushing the one in front I strive to help make people great in the eyes of others. We have been successful in making everyone’s stress level nonexistent, I am The Stress Reliever!
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
People will always need help. Needs will change but customer services will be around forever! Writing books, Speaking Engagements, and just being a trendsetter are in my future plans!
