Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Lowery.
Candice, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started the massage program at Medix Technical School in 2005. I was excited and ready to learn. Massage instantly became a passion of mine. Graduating in May 2006, I did my internship with a Chiropractor for one month, going on to work with her for over a year. Then, moving on to work at a Day Spa for six years. Touch is essential in my eyes, it’s needed for survival. I’m intrigued with how the body heals itself and the fact that massage speeds up the process of healing. Massage is also like art, your body is the canvas. Essential Touch Massage was established in 2014 for your divine healing, relaxation and peace of mind.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Thus far my massage career has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling.
Please tell us about Essential Touch Massage.
Essential Touch Massage was established in 2014, now a private warm and cozy massage suite that caters to parties of 1-3 at a time. I specialize in many modalities such as Thai Massage/Stretching, Deep Tissue, Sport Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Prenatal, Yoni Steams, Essential Oils, Herbal Remedies etc. I’m known for being very attentive, attuned, and intuitive. I make sure to massage with the right amount of pressure for divine healing and relaxation. It’s more than a massage is an experience at ETM. We aim to relax your Mind, Body, and Spirit Simultaneously.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite childhood memories is of my Grandfather and him working his Masonry company. My mother uses to work for him, so I would sometimes go to work as well. Let me tell you when I learned that he owned his own business. That’s the day my dreams manifested. I was so amazed that that was possible. He became my hero that day.
