Meet Carmen Bradley of J’Adore Body

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmen Bradley.

Carmen, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was once that girl that struggled with having a positive body image. I considered getting a tummy tuck and fat transferred. I thought after my fourth child, I would have the surgery done and get my mommy makeover and be back to having an amazing body.

Well, things didn’t go as planned, my water broke six weeks early and my child was delivered via emergency c-section. A normal c-section takes approximately fifteen minutes, mine took seven hours… I had to have multiple blood transfusions and wasn’t clotting. My life and my child’s life was on the line. Needless to say, this changed my mind about having the tummy tuck and fat transfer surgery.

I have been an entrepreneur and a business owner for over twenty plus years. I had starting researching alternatives to having surgery and still have the desired body we so long for. Body contouring came up and I started learning more about these procedures and what it all it entails. I found it to be safe, no risk, with no downtime and very affordable.

Fast forward to January of this year I was terminated from my job. I felt defeated but it was a blessing in disguise. God told me you didn’t move to Georgia to work for someone, you moved to become an entrepreneur and go back into business for myself. God started opening doors for me. I was able to get certified and trained by a renown plastic surgeon and was also to able to get my machine and supplies to open my business. My business is growing each week and I love giving my clients the bodies the desire!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road but I know it my heart it will be worth it in the long run.

I’ve had to make some scarifies in order to be able to afford items for my business, such as financial scarifies, where my all my money made goes back into my business. Or attending events in the city, I cannot afford to waste time or money on things that will not benefit me or my family later. Also spending time with the family has been put on hold sometimes in order to save money, market to people, or to meet potential clients.

These seem so major to me at times but I know if I work hard now I can live comfortable later. Not to mention the branding and marketing. Branding and marketing are not strong areas for me but I have been learning a lot. The old cliche is true “It takes money to make money”. We have to be willing to invest in ourselves and our business.

Entrepreneurs need a team to help reach new levels in business. I can be such a hands-on person but have learned to allow others to help me succeed so that I may continue to focus on growing my business. I have learned to take my hands off of things and allow others to reveal my vision.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about J’Adore Body – what should we know?
My business is J’Adore Body. I offer noninvasive body contouring services. J’Adore Body specializes in fat reduction, laser lipo, skin tightening, and vacuum therapy (also known as the Brazilian Butt Lift). At J’Adore body we understand the importance of body image. When we look good we feel good. We offer quality services while delivering excellent customer service.

I am proud of my company and the doors it has opened for me and my family. I have been able to see an increase every week and my clients are loving their results. Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
One of my best qualities is being able to connect with people. I can relate to others and make the connection to allow clients to feel comfortable with me and the services provided. My clients tell me the most inmate details of their lives while showing me their body concerns. I believe this quality was developed while working many years in the customer service field.

You have to be able to put other people needs first and show them you genuinely care about their needs and concerns. Once they see this, clients will open up and allow me to make the best recommendations for them. We all have a story that we can share, this helps to build relationships and show love throughout our community.
