So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Elevate K was started to encourage people around the world to overcome past obstacles and become successful in their own way.
I started my company back in June 2017 after realizing that many people in the underserved populations do not feel inspired to take the next step. With Elevate K, you can almost elevate anything and take the next stepping stone to greatness. Short or long term goals are apart of my mission. Whatever it is that someone wants to accomplish, they are able to.
Within the first three months, I went through the trial and error phase of finding an affordable vendor for my T-shirts and printing. I ran a couple of orders with an online printing company but shortly after, I decided I would make more profits by printing myself. I started researching and learned how to print my products and be able to allow customers to customize their orders with a fast turnaround period.
My company’s vision is that: People change, Motives change, Goals change.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road since I have begun my business. Some obstacles I have encountered were lack of products due to financial reasons and lack of advertising due to completing my bachelor’s degree. I would classify these as a struggle along the way because they had a negative impact on the growth of my business at the time, but now my business is most definitely flourishing.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Elevate K – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
At ElevateK, we create products with eye-grabbing graphic designs. Each product is individually made within our company. We specialize in custom clothing and accessories. ElevateK is mostly known for having multiple designs available in different colors as I started off with only tees. We are proud to have encouraging words or designs worn in various styles. What sets ElevateK apart from others are the meanings behind each design. Each design has a hidden message that allows people to think beyond the norm.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our plans for the future are to open our first storefront in Atlanta and creating a scholarship for high school students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher. A big change that has occurred recently was converting from Elevate Klothing to ElevateK due to a wide variety of products being added. Some of the products being added are accessories such as bracelets, hats, headbands, fanny packs, socks, water bottles, and home decor. We have also included women’s rompers and bodysuits, and men’s jogger shorts and muscle tanks. There will be upcoming exclusive products coming in the near future.
