Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina and Christina Jimenez.
Carolina and Christina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hi! We are Carolina and Christina, Latina sisters always hungry for new experiences! Our family is from Colombia, and we were born and raised in South Florida. We moved to Georgia when we were 15 and 13, and fell in love with the charming Southern city of Atlanta. We parted ways for college, one of us (Christina) went to UCF in Orlando, and the other (Carolina) stayed in Atlanta as an entrepreneur while attending Kennesaw University. Even though we were apart, we traveled together to over 18 countries experiencing different cultures and cuisines, which we LOVED to showcase on our personal pages.
Our friends saw us as the “food critics” of Atlanta so it inspired us to keep guiding our followers on their gastronomic journeys. For years, we have specialized in completely different industries. Carolina focused on owning multiple Businesses (including retail, real estate, and e-commerce), while Christina collaborated with business owners to execute Marketing Campaigns and Digital Media Strategies. We realized we could combine the best of both worlds and finally follow our true passion and turn it into our full time business! Always Hungry ATL was born, and we never looked back.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges with being a full-time content creator is the inevitable feeling of self-doubt. Throughout our journey, we have had to constantly remind ourselves that we provide immense value to the businesses we help and that these collaborations should be mutually beneficial. Over time we have become more confident in our elevator pitch and sales strategy to acquire new clients.
Always Hungry ATL – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in Food Photography and Social Media Marketing to help unique brands strategically grow their exposure on Instagram. We love giving back to the Instagram community through our Prize Giveaways while helping food bloggers and brands grow their page following! We are passionate about showcasing what makes each brand unique and creating an enticing campaign around trying their products. One thing that makes us different from other food bloggers is that we mentor foodies on how to create more high-quality content. We encourage food bloggers to challenge themselves and think outside the box. We have a highlight on our home page dedicated to Tips on food styling!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Our proudest moment has been securing a collaboration with the beer company Anheuser-Busch! It is the biggest brand we have partnered with to date, and the longest collaboration we have signed. It was a surreal moment to realize they saw the value in us; we have been working to portray.
