Meet Caroline Watson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Watson.

Hi Caroline, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all began when I was in college in South Carolina I would help my great-grandmother with her yard and her outdoor pots. My “Great” taught me a great deal about annuals, perennials, shrubs and knowledge from being in her yards over her years. As I moved over the years I tackled my own yards in South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia. I have always adored the outdoors and being in my spaces were my own little sanctuary.

Once my girls were older I decided it was time for me to do something I was truly passionate about and my daughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Rebecca came up with my company name in 2018. They chose Blooming Buckets and Beds and I loved it! Every project is unique and I truly love being around people beautifying their spaces whether it is a flower bed or beds, pots around their homes, flower vases or coming up with a landscape plan they can enjoy! I would describe myself as being an exterior decorator that works with the client making their space aesthetically pleasing. My goal for 2022 was to move into some commercial as well as keeping up with my residential clients. I absolutely adore my work and one of the best parts of my work is when my girls are free they also work with me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I am fortunate to say this has been easy for me because I love what I do!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
One thing that sets me apart from other landscapers is I meet with my clients one on one. We discuss plants, colors they prefer over others, what they like or don’t like and what they want to accomplish over time. I listen, do the shopping and depending on the size of the job I do it myself or have assistance from trustworthy employees.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
You always take a risk when you start something whether it’s a relationship, investment or business. I have turned a hobby of mine into a business so I feel very fortunate.
