Meet Chad Sanders of Norman & Associates Real Estate Solutions in Tucker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Sanders.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Chad. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I walk to the beat of my own drum. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I started my first company with my older siblings when I was in high school. I’ve never been one to shy away from taking risks. I was soon faced with the dilemma to either nurture my business or pursue my college degree. They say knowledge is power, so I chose college. I attended Northwood University, where I majored in finance. While there, I started an entertainment company to help those around me and support myself. I also traded stock and learned how to do taxes.

After I finished school, I realized I had no job history and had been self-employed since I was 12. Without a mentor, I couldn’t come up with a viable plan to scale my business and decided to try my hand at corporate America. After a few years, I was bored and started a private equity firm with my brother with a focus on real estate. Business was great until the real estate market crashed. Not only did I take a loss, but I had to move back in with my parents. I had no job, no house, no medical insurance, and a daughter on the way. After months of applying for jobs literally everywhere, I finally got a position at Delta Airlines. I moved to Atlanta to climb the corporate ladder, but after a few years, I was bored with that job. I had a little cash saved quit my job and hopped into real estate. I decided to become a realtor and here I am.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not at all! It’s always challenging trying to be successful while being a father while being a man of God, while trying to eat healthily and workout while saving money and building credit, while trying to have a personal life, Let’s not forget finding time to sleep, something I’m not a big fan of. The struggle is definitely real.

My main struggle is stepping out of my comfort zone. I made a promise to myself that I would be comfortable being uncomfortable. Real estate is more than just Instagram pics of fancy houses. It’s fun, stressful, and gratifying all at the same time.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
I’m a Realtor with Norman and Associates Real Estate Solutions, one of Atlanta’s top minority brokerages. I’m thankful to be a part of something so great, It’s like a family.

I specialize in turning renters into buyers. I work with millennials who are new to real estate, So if you are a first time home buyer, first time home seller and first-time investor, I’m here to advocate and navigate until the deal is straight. I will advocate on your behalf and navigate you through the process until we can work a deal that’s in your best interests. I want to make sure you learn and understand, but have a little fun in the process.

I’m also known as the “The Lyrical Realtor.” I sell real estate and I write poetry. Writing was something that was once a secret hobby but has now worked its way into the forefront of my business. My consultations are very descriptive and in most cases, contain some sort of poetic rhyming scheme.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing. I’ve learned that things in life are either a blessing or a lesson. I’m grateful for both. It pushes me to be better; it feeds my ambitious drive. I’m not afraid to fail or fall. I’ve felt the ground before. It makes the journey to the top much more rewarding. My advice to anyone in any industry is to keep going and don’t stop and always have a plan.
