Today we’d like to introduce you to Champ Wokoma.
Hi Champ, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Atlanta, shaped by the values of hard work, faith, and community. As a proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, I’ve always felt a deep responsibility to pour back into the city that raised me. Atlanta isn’t just where I live — it’s home, and it’s where I’ve always wanted to make an impact.
As the child of Nigerian parents, I was raised with a strong belief in discipline, education, and self-determination. My family instilled in me the mindset that anything worth having is earned, not given. I credit everything I’ve accomplished to my parents, my friends, and the loved ones who have supported me through every stage of my journey. Their belief in me helped shape my own belief in myself.
Fitness became more than a passion — it became a vehicle for change. In 2025, at just 24 years old, I took over ownership of my gym. It was a defining moment. Stepping into leadership at that age came with challenges, but it also came with purpose. I wasn’t just running a business — I was building a space where people could grow stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually.
My faith has grounded me through every transition. It reminds me that success isn’t just about personal achievement, but about service, stewardship, and impact. Today, my mission is bigger than fitness. It’s about creating opportunity, inspiring discipline, and showing others — especially young people who look like me — that they can take ownership of their future.
I’m still building. Still learning. Still striving. But everything I do is rooted in gratitude, faith, and a commitment to the Atlanta community that shaped me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
2020 was a rough year, I lost my people close to me this year and it was unimaginable to know that they were gone. I lost family as the world was shutting down and this period was the worst of my life.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business philosophy is to try the best to do things the right way. I find that most times in life that the things that are hard for people are the things that people take shortcuts or half measures with. I believe that in business, if you do things the right way to the best of your abilities, things will work out for you.
With Snap Fitness our brand prioritizes this with our 24/7 access that insures no excuses with getting a workout in. There are members of our gym that are over 100+ years old that still come and workout every week! This is the type of environment that I encourage, a honest, hard-working, familial experience.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My trust in my family and loved ones that have been with me all along my journey as well as faith in Jesus Christ as my savior is most important to my success. Without my faith and the foundation that my family supplies me with, I do not think I have success on this Earth as I do now. There is a certain drive that I work with whenever I know that I am beholden to something more than myself. I am thankful and forever grateful what I have been blessed with.
