Hi Chantel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a true follower of Jesus Christ, I found strength and purpose in my unwavering faith. I started by sharing my personal testimony of overcoming various obstacles through God’s grace. From adjusting to life legally blind, divorce, and depression to abandonment, homelessness, and street life, I have triumphed over adversity with resilience and the love of Jesus. I believe my story serves as a reminder that a life dedicated to God can be filled with passion and purpose. Today, I still desire for my positivity, unwavering faith, and compassionate nature to create an atmosphere of hope wherever I go. Despite my own challenges, I empathize deeply with others and aim to bring light into their lives through genuine care and support. By sharing my journey of resilience and redemption, my message of hope, reminding everyone that I encounter that they too can find strength, purpose, and a profound connection with God, regardless of their circumstances.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road has not been smooth since the start of the movement I’ve walked through some tough seasons. Divorce, depression, homelessness, losing everything, and starting completely over, and currently adjusting to life being visually impaired. There have been plenty of struggles, but regardless of any of it, I still want to be a blessing.
We’ve been impressed with Major Blessings Movement LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Major Blessings Movement is a faith-based lifestyle company focused on creating positive atmospheres and uplifting individuals across the world. I travel to different events to speak as an individual or panelist; I also vend and, depending on the event (bless a handful) of people with merchandise or products that I’ve created with simple declarations, inspirational messages, and gentle reminders from the Bible… What sets us apart and what I’m most proud of is that we aspire to and are committed to cultivating more environments that will influence people to love without limits, encourage faith and build the kingdom. I’d like everyone to know that Major Blessings is not just a brand, it’s a ministry, a lifestyle movement that anyone can be a part of.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love that it is busy because there is always somewhere to go and something to do, and there are plenty of opportunities. I dislike the violence and congestion. Violence is constantly increasing, and there’s always an extended commute time because there is always traffic.
