Charity, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Maniac Massages was founded in May 2017 when I decided to use the training I received in massage school several years prior to actual starting the business. I was transitioning from working full time and wanted to become a business owner. After doing some research, and brainstorming with current brand ambassador, I decided to launch what we know today as Maniac Massages.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Even though Maniac Massages is on track and doing well, there have been minor bumps in the road. The first was concept development; We wanted to make sure we had a unique business model that would set us apart from other mobile Massage Company. We also had some trials in team building, because we wanted to offer the best therapist to service our well-loved clients… our standards are very high when it comes to clients satisfaction. Today, Maniac Massages is well known for its brilliant concept and white glove spa services.
Maniac Massages – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Maniac Massages is a completely mobile company that provides both massage and spa services. We specialize in providing an upscale massage experience that includes a variety of massages. It was my intention to create memorable names for each service that captured the feelings that some of our clients may have at the time of booking. If work life is crazy, try out most popular service, The Lunatic. This one-hour Swedish-style massage that is a combination of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep-tissue, and sports massage. If family life is making you lose your mind, try The Psychopath, Our booking site lists that various massages we offer and makes it easy for clients to schedule an appointment. Along with the various massages, we also offer spa services that include an Ionic Foot Detox, Yoni Steams, and much more.
We are most proud of our expansions that have taken place within the last year, as well as the partnerships we have been able to create. This year, Maniac Massages began delivering mobile spa parties and also curated a line of massage products for both professional and personal use. We were able to secure a contract with a public school in Atlanta to provide over half the staff with massages and continue our work with feeding the homeless and hungry through our partnership with Under Construction: Stability in the Making.
I believe our passion and commitment to high-end, luxury service is what sets us apart from others. We ensure that our therapists are always professional, punctual, and courteous. We pay close attention to the tiniest details to make sure that our client’s needs are met before they can make the request.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is a relational concept– people quite often associate it with a level of financial stability. For me, success is about making sure I am constantly moving forward to achieve the next goal. I am in a constant state of planning my next three moves so that at any point if I question whether there is something else to do, I already know what it is and just need to take the steps to get it done. I would love to see Maniac Massages become a household name like some of our competitors, but I know that this is the first of many business ventures. As I grow, my company will grow and every step in that direction is success.
