Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlotte Jeffreys.
Hi Charlotte, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always owned all kinds of businesses but Media Radio and Tv have always been my thing, so I started many years ago and just have grown into so many other facets of just availing myself and helping people no matter the need. I grow when I help others accomplish their needs.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a struggle, particularly when at 39 years, I became a widower after my husband of 21 years died with full-blown aids but I took that and worked it for my good by telling the story all across the nation on Radio and T>V> I was blessed by the hand of God by not getting it so I put myself to work and shared the story on T.V and radio, I also became an Aids advocate and was on several boards and visited constantly hospices and hospitals to give baths, feed the patients and share with the families all of the lies that were planted because of the lack of knowledge. Many I buried and became the Pastor that Eulogized them as well.
I was thankful for God allowing me to live without the disease, and this was my way of showing him and the less fortunate that were with it that I understood.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
After everything and being successful in many business ventures, I am most proud of the fact that I was called to ministry immediately after my husband’s death and contribute all of my successes to the fact that the Lord is and was with me. I sit and am mentored from all levels of life by great men secularly and professionally, such as Alveda King, Sujay Cook Johnson, and Bishop Ociee Reese, who gave me an opportunity to turn adversity into triumph and believed in my gifts and success.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Apostle Yacar Believe and Receive Ministry Pastor Percy Johnson who allowed me to spend countless hours on the 7th floor where Aids patients were dying. My new husband, Jay Jeffreys that I married in 2008 as well as my children, Mankell Hayes and Rose Shavi Brown who constantly inspire me to keep moving and doing what I do. Bishop Lance Johnson, my spiritual Father who always has inspired me and promoted my gifts.
