Meet Chasity Taylor of The Arch Guru in Warner Robins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chasity Taylor.

Chasity, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
That is actually a funny story of how I got started. While setting up for a Retreat back in August 2019, I was tasked to put together a balloon garland by my sorority sister. My initial response was, “I don’t know how to do this.” I absolutely had no idea what I was doing, but I made it work. After I was done constructing this balloon garland, I posted it on social media as a joke like, “look what else I can do.” Well my friends took me very seriously and from there I started making them for family, friends and clients. I then started watching YouTube and Instagram videos to learn new tricks and tips. I quickly went from having 1 to 2 balloon arches a month to being booked almost every weekend. It has been a journey to say the least. Fast forward to a year later, I booked my biggest client to date, Angela Simmons. I was able to provide balloon creations for not only her birthday, but her son’s birthday as well.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely Not! I started off posting content of my balloon creations and at first, I got a few clients but not many. I struggled with learning how to stand out and being creative. Once I finally found my groove and my own style, the clients started rolling in. My first month, March 2020, having the most clients I had ever had in a month, COVID-19 hits. Every event I had was cancelled. I thought my business I had just started was over. No one was able to have any type of events for months. I prayed on it and God led me to go ahead make my business official; therefore, I established The Arch Guru, LLC. I felt like I took a leap of faith as I had no idea where COVID-19 would leave me. Once everything started to open back up, my clients came back and I have been busy ever since.

The Arch Guru – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is called The Arch Guru, LLC. I specialize in providing balloon creations for a variety of events such as baby showers, birthday parties, graduations, and galas to name a few. Basically anything you have, I am there! I am known for creating an experience that sets your décor a part when you see my creations. I pride myself on catering whatever creation I am making at that moment to that specific client. I want to make their vision come to light. I am most proud that I was able to build a brand and that my company started from nowhere and it has blossomed into something I never thought it could. I think the thing that that sets me apart from others is that I just don’t come and install a basic balloon garland, I recreate your vision for the event using themes, ideas, and creativity. Additionally, I come from a customer service background so my desire is to ensure every client I encounter has an amazing experience.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I would have to say when I got the call that I would be doing balloons for Angela Simmons. My friend, Jayren Perry helped me with this client and would not take no for an answer. I was so anxious all week leading up to the events. I wanted everything to be perfect. Once I got to the event space, I just started blowing up balloons and my nerves went away. The second event I think I was even more nervous. It did not go as planned, but learning how to adjust was my biggest takeaway. Nonetheless, it was all worth it when I got to meet her and she told me, “she loved her balloons.” A little piece of me melted inside and my day was complete. All of my clients let me know they love their balloons and I am so thankful for their feedback, but this moment was the best.
